I installed Hooker Long Tube headers with FelPro gaskets and ARP 3/8th headed header bolts. I highly reccomend the 3/8th headed bolts, as it is easier to get the closed end of a 12point wrench on it. I purchased the headers uncoated, as I couldn't see spending $200+ for coating that makes the header pretty.
Passenger side header went in through the top, after jacking that side of the motor up a bit(remove pass side engine mount bolt and trans mount nut). Put it in 1/2 way, then slowly lowerd the motor as I wiggled it the rest of the way in.
Drivers side header went in through the bottom, once again after jacking up the motor, driverside this time. I have to remove the oil filter, and that was about it.
I had the stock collectors cut off, and new ones welded on that angle up slightly. This gives more ground clearance at the flange.
I had a custom 2.5" ypipe made, with dual off-road pipes or dual cats. I had o2 bungs welded onto the collectors, toward the middle of the car. No emmisions fittings were added, I don't have a smog pump/EGR anyway.
